My Scribd Experience
I joined the social publishing site Scribd in May, 2009. I value the support and friendship I receive from this community of readers and writers, a true network of electronic "pen pals" that make writing not quite so lonely.
Many of the essays in my memoir Mirror Talk first appeared on Scribd and the warm and generous response they received there gave me the needed confidence to self-publish Mirror Talk in 2010.
How has your book project turned out?
Last Sunday, June 3rd, I was thrilled to learn that Mirror Talk won best memoir in the 2012 IndieReader Discovery Awards competition. And only yesterday, I received a lovely review of my memoir on the IndieReader website.
Lessons Learned
- Writing doesn't have to be lonely and how wonderfully supportive other "unknown" authors are of one another.
